"Bostik Feltfix Bituminous Roof Felt Adhesive is a cold applied solvent-based bituminous adhesive. It has high initial grab for bonding bituminous roofing felts to asphalt, felt, metal, timber and concrete. It is also suitable for sealing laps on roofing felt and for bonding mineral chippings to bituminous surfaces. It produces a strong, flexible bond, which hardens and softens with changes of temperature. This adhesive must not be used with or over tar based products. its product should be applied to a clean, dry and dust free surface using a mop, squeegee or stiff brush. Dusty or porous surfaces should be primed with a penetration primer. It is recommended that when laying felt onto timber or wood substrates, the first layer of felt is nailed with galvanised clout head nails, subsequent layers can be bonded with this product.
